Food Gems in Ballard

WOW! Seriously feels like I’ve been on hiatus but honestly just busy with work amongst other things.  YAY! Finally a moment to post!

Since my last post I’ve been on quite a few food adventures with friends and/or family which have been fun + delicious.  Had the opportunity to check out Porkchop & Co. in Ballard.  Went here for brunch with my bestie and food was delicious.  I highly recommend the Croque Madame – Brioche toast topped with house ham, greens, cheese sauce and a fried egg.  OMG! The cheese sauce is perfection and ties everything together in my opinion.  If you LOVE a good croque madam this place has got one of the best!

The other dish is the Kimchi Hash with Chorizo – Kimchi, potatoes, cauliflower, and a sunny side-up egg.  You get a nice tang from the kimchi and heat from the chorizo…the island girl in me wanted RICE with this dish.  LOL!  My experience here was great and loved it!  Oh a tip…make a reservation to avoid waiting in line.  Thankfully it was a Sunday at 11am and there was no line but people starting rolling in after we arrived.

Another fun place in Ballard for cool creamy treats is Parfait Organic Artisan Ice Cream. They have a great selection of delicious ice cream but wanted to try the ice cream sandwiches…perfectly portioned especially after having brunch or lunch.
